Supporting governmental initiatives
A reliable government partner
Science based targets
Experience and knowledge
Open innovation
This is why NZHI is a suitable partner to execute and implement governmental projects focusing on sustainable transformation of the healthcare sector.
Our knowledge allows us to provide the right support for research projects, as well as the realization of more operational projects about the reduction of emissions or other environmental targets.
We combine broad personal experience within the healthcare system with a deep sector specific sustainability knowledge.
We try to be an open and collaborating innovator within a network of hospitals, governments, and companies.
We are science based and implement science based targets.
As a company, we participate actively in governmental and non-governmental initiatives. We translate these recommendations into a practical framework to be used by hospitals including spreading general information and creating sustainable roadmaps and workshops for individual hospitals. In Flanders, we follow and participate in the Green Deal Sustainable Care, especially in the pillars 'Materials and waste' and 'Medicines in water'. A great example of a government supported project, is the water purification plant in Aartselaar, Belgium where Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API's) are inactivated and removed by sequential ozone and activated charcoal filtration.
We assist with both micro level projects with a particular focus and expertise in medical equipment, single use goods, pharmaceuticals, medical waste, and more macro level projects focusing on the movement towards net zero including the creation of roadmaps and monitoring and evaluation at regional, national and European level.
